Key Responsibilities1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for transformer manufacturing machines such as:
Winding machines
Core cutting machines
Vapour-phase drying ovens
Hydraulic presses
Oil filtration and purification plants
Testing equipment (e.g., BDV tester, Tan-Delta, SFRA)
Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, motors, pumps, and mechanical systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
Respond quickly to equipment failures and minimize downtime.
Repair or replace defective components (bearings, motors, sensors, contactors, valves, etc.).
Equipment Installation & Commissioning
Assist in installation and commissioning of recent machinery or test equipment.
Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and vendors during setup or upgrades.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
Ensure all machines meet statutory safety standards (electrical safety, earthing, insulation, etc.).




Implement safety procedures like LOTO, PPE enforcement, and risk assessments.
Support quality assurance teams during equipment-related audits (ISO, NABL, customer audits).
Spare Parts & Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain stock of essential spare parts, consumables, and tools.
Coordinate procurement with the purchase team to avoid shortages.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Reduce maintenance costs through optimization, root cause analysis (RCA), and condition monitoring.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain machine history cards, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance reports.
Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports (downtime, cost, efficiency).
