GIS Expert
GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (GVK EMRI) is looking for a skilled GIS Expert to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing software modules, custom GIS tools, and web-enabled GIS applications . You'll also be responsible for maintaining and updating critical GIS data layers for the state.
Role & Responsibilities:
Develop software modules , custom software tools, and GIS software using required development languages (such as C, C#, C++, VB Script, Python, and the like).
Utilize SQL, PostgreSQL , and other databases.
Develop Web-enabled GIS modules using Open Source/COTS platforms such as Geo server, Open Layers, ARC Geo Server, Apollo Smart Suite, etc.
Update the GIS Data and layers of the state (POIs, Roads, Boundaries, Nodal Points, etc.).
Contribute to technical-design documentation.
Build and deploy packages as and when required.
