The Solid Edge Modeler/Drafter is responsible for creating accurate 3D models and detailed 2D shop drawings of steel trailer components for a leading North American manufacturer of custom-built trailers. The role requires robust technical understanding, precision in drafting, and effective collaboration with coordinators and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and examine technical documents such as drawings and specifications.
Develop detailed 2D shop drawings from 3D models.
Create and modify 3D models of individual parts, sheet metal components, and assemblies using Solid Edge.
Coordinate with project coordinators to gather missing information and resolve discrepancies.
Implement corrections and revisions based on feedback and review comments.
Ensure all drawings meet required standards and specifications.
Use computer-aided drafting tools (Solid Edge) efficiently.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
Advanced knowledge or hands-on experience with Solid Edge software.
Familiarity with Teamcenter (preferred but not mandatory).
