POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal. Run the bailing and shearing machines as needed. Weigh small scrap metal orders as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Constant standing
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work well with other employees
- Ability to follow instructions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with different types of scrap metal

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard
- Run the bailing and shearing machines using metal and cardboard
- Weigh small scrap orders for customers
