- Performance Testing Concepts: Solid understanding of performance engineering, load testing methodologies, and performance metrics.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and architects to understand non-functional requirements and define performance testing objectives and strategies.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with web technologies, client-server architecture, API testing, and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Execution: Executing various types of performance tests, including load, stress, endurance, and capacity testing.
- Problem-Solving: Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills to pinpoint and resolve complex performance issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management and reporting.
Desired / Secondary Skills
- Experience with other performance testing tools such as JMeter or Load Runner .
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure , and experience testing cloud-native applications.
- Experience with testing specific enterprise applications such as Oracle Fusion, JD Edwards, People Soft , etc.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Neo Load Professional .
- CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating performance testing into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Git Lab to automate performance testing processes.
- Scripting Skills: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java Script for developing advanced test cases is beneficial.
