Assistant Manager Student Counselling & Employability Support Location - Pune
About the Role
GTT Foundation is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to lead a team of Counsellors/Mentors and drive student engagement, counselling quality, employability readiness and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and monitor a team of Counsellors/Mentors.
- Set and track daily, weekly and monthly team targets.
- Monitor student counselling, engagement, follow-ups and progression.
- Identify inactive/at-risk students and drive re-engagement.
- Ensure counselling quality through regular reviews, coaching and feedback.
- Track the student journey from counselling training career readiness interviews employment.
- Coordinate with Training, Placement, Operations and Project teams.
- Monitor MIS, dashboards, call logs and student progress reports.
- Handle escalations and ensure timely closure of critical cases.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline; PG in Psychology, Social Work, HR, Education, Management or related fields preferred.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in counselling, career guidance, employability, education, skilling, placement or youth engagement.
- 1-3 years of team-handling experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English & Hindi; regional language is an advantage.
- Valuable knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets, MIS and digital tools.
- Strong people management, counselling, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
