Role & responsibilities
Own the complete HR function and employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit,
ensuring smooth and effective HR operations.
Drive HR policies, processes, and governance, ensuring compliance, consistency,
documentation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Lead employee engagement and experience initiatives, including wellness, rewards
& recognition, employee connect, culture-building, and retention programs.
Manage employee relations and grievances, serving as the primary HR point of
contact and providing timely, fair, and confidential resolution to employee and manager
concerns.
Own the performance management cycle, including goal setting,
probation/confirmation, performance reviews, appraisals, feedback, and Performance
Improvement Plans (PIPs).
Drive talent management and employee development, including career development,
learning & development, and retention initiatives.
Oversee payroll and employee benefits, including monthly payroll inputs, validation,
insurance, Sodexo, NPS, leave, attendance, and other employee welfare programs.
Ensure end-to-end statutory Compliance, labour law compliance, Shops &
Establishments compliances, and any other applicable labour compliances and
applicable regulations.
Manage HR reporting, MIS, HRIS, audits, and documentation, maintaining accurate
employee records and providing relevant insights and reports to leadership.
Partner with leadership and business stakeholders on people-related matters,
organizational initiatives, employee performance, compensation, policies, and other HR
priorities while independently managing and prioritizing the HR function.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources is mandatory.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience,
preferably in HR Operations, HR Generalist, or a similar end-to-end HR role.
- Minimum four years in a software development organization or Most recent minimum two years in an India subsidiary of a US based software product development startup.
- Demonstrated experience in independently managing the HR function in an individual contributor or standalone HR leadership capacity.
- Strong expertise in HR Operations, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, employee perks, performance management, and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing HR policies, processes, and employee programs.
- Strong employee relations and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take complete ownership of HR responsibilities.
- Proficiency in HRMS, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, maturity, and professionalism.
Good to Have
- Exposure to US HR Operations and US labour compliance.
- Experience in a technology/SaaS/start-up environment.
- Experience managing HR independently as a standalone HR professional.
- Exposure to HR automation, HR analytics, and process digitization.
