Job Summary
We are looking for a Legal Executive with experience in the Real Estate industry who has strong expertise in legal drafting, documentation, contract review, and property-related legal matters. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing various legal documents and ensuring compliance with applicable real estate laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet various real estate and commercial legal documents, including:
- Sale Agreements
- Agreement to Sell
- Sale Deeds
- Lease & Leave and License Agreements
- Builder-Buyer Agreements
- Joint Venture Agreements
- MoUs
- Term Sheets
- Allotment Letters
- Possession Letters
- Demand Letters
- NOCs and Undertakings
- Review property-related documents, title documents, agreements, and contracts.
- Assist in property title verification and legal due diligence.
- Conduct legal research on Real Estate Laws, RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, Stamp Duty, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with external advocates, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders on legal matters.
- Assist in handling RERA-related matters, notices, complaints, and correspondence.
- Draft legal notices, replies, letters, affidavits, declarations, and other legal communications.
- Review agreements and contracts to identify legal risks and recommend appropriate changes.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, property documents, legal notices, cases, and other legal documentation.
- Assist in property registration, execution, and documentation processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Sales, CRM,
Finance, Projects, and Commercial for resolution of legal/documentation issues.
- Monitor important legal deadlines, renewals, registrations, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in managing litigation and disputes by coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Ensure that all legal documents are properly executed, stamped, registered, and maintained.
- Provide legal support to management on day-to-day real estate and contractual matters.
Required Skills
- Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge of Real Estate Laws and RERA.
- Strong contract review and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of property documentation and legal due diligence.
- Good understanding of Stamp Duty and Registration procedures.
- Solid legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical solutions.
- Good command of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Educational Qualification
- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Candidates with additional certification or experience in Real Estate Law/RERA will be preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in legal drafting, preferably with a real estate developer, builder, infrastructure company, or law firm handling real estate matters.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in property documentation, RERA matters, agreements, and legal drafting will be preferred.
