Position Summary

The FP&A; Analyst Trade Finance & Commercial Operations is responsible for supporting the financial

management of trade transactions, customer programs, pricing execution, deductions resolution, accrual

management, and trade promotion administration across Retail and Deli channels. The role partners closely with

Sales, Trade Managers, Revenue Management, Customer Teams, and Finance leadership to ensure effective

management of customer investments and profitable business growth. This position is based on activities

including TPM administration, promotion alignment, customer pricing support, deductions management, accrual

reviews, trade reporting, and sales support functions.

The successful candidate will combine robust financial acumen, analytical capability, and business partnering

skills to deliver actionable insights, improve operational processes, and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Finance & Promotion Management

• Administer and maintain Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems, including TELUS

TPM/Blacksmith.

• Support customer trade program creation, validation, maintenance, and settlement.

• Ensure accurate setup and execution of standard, planner, and indirect customer programs.





• Support promotional alignment and data integration activities with external syndicated data sources.

• Maintain trade program integrity and compliance with company policies.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Analyse trade investments, customer funding programs, rebates, and promotional spending.

• Monitor trade spending trends and identify financial risks and opportunities.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes.

• Assist leadership in evaluating the financial impact of customer programs and promotional activities.

• Develop ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions.

Pricing & Customer Profitability

• Review and investigate Customer Exception Pricing (CEP) reports and pricing variances.

• Support customer pricing administration and maintenance of pricing grids.

• Analyse pricing effectiveness, customer profitability, and trade investment returns.

• Partner with Sales teams on pricing support and customer-specific financial requests.

• Ensure pricing submissions and program documentation are accurate and complete.
