About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead and drive the sales function for a 5 star hotel in Jabalpur

. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, increasing revenue, building strong relationships with key clients and identifying new business opportunities across relevant market segments.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, preferably with experience in managing corporate, group, MICE, events and other relevant revenue segments. The person should possess excellent leadership, business development, relationship management and strategic planning skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth

- Develop and implement the annual sales strategy in line with the hotel's overall business and revenue objectives.
- Drive revenue growth across key market segments including corporate, group, MICE, events, travel and other relevant segments.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets and client segments to increase the hotel's revenue and market presence.
- Develop and execute effective sales plans to achieve revenue and business targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Work closely with the Revenue Management and Commercial teams to optimise business opportunities and maximise hotel revenue.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and business plans.

Business Development and Key Account Management

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, travel partners,



event organisers, MICE clients and other relevant business partners.
- Acquire current corporate and key accounts while strengthening existing client relationships.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations and hotel site inspections.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts with key clients and business partners.
- Ensure effective account management and long-term client retention.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, networking opportunities and relevant trade activities.

Team Leadership and Management

- Lead, mentor and develop the hotel sales team.
- Set clear sales targets and performance expectations for team members.
- Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of individual and departmental targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching and development discussions.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused and results-oriented sales culture.

Market Intelligence and Reporting

- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends and market developments.
- Analyse sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and performance updates for senior management.
- Track the sales pipeline, conversion rates, account performance and revenue contribution.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of client information and sales records.

Internal Collaboration

- Work closely with the General Manager and other hotel leadership teams to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations and other relevant departments.
- Ensure a smooth handover of business to operational teams to deliver a high-quality client and guest experience.
- Support strategic initiatives that strengthen the hotel's market positioning and commercial performance.
