Role & responsibilities
- Establish and manage a robust Contract Labour Management System.
- Monitor contractor onboarding, manpower deployment, work orders, and compliance status.
- Ensure authorized manpower deployment and contractor governance.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and applicable statutory requirements.
- Drive implementation and monitoring of:
- Code on Wages
- Industrial Relations Code
- Code on Social Security
- Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions Code
- Conduct labour compliance audits and gap assessments.
- Verify wages, PF, ESI, bonus, gratuity, overtime, and statutory perks.
- Implement contractor compliance scorecards and monthly certification systems.
- Ensure timely wage payments and compliance before contractor bill processing.
- Monitor contract manpower costs and productivity.
- Drive manpower optimization and labour cost control initiatives.
- Develop contractor performance benchmarks and analytics.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, audits, labour authorities, and legal compliance matters.
- Maintain labour compliance risk registers and corrective action plans.
Preferred candidate profile
- MBA/PGDM in HR, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
- Additional qualification in Labour Laws will be preferred.
- 12-15+ years of relevant experience in Contract Labour Management, Compliance, Industrial Relations, Plant HR, or Labour Law Administration.
- Experience in Cement, Mining, Steel, Power, Engineering, or other large manufacturing industries preferred.
