Job Summary
The Enterprise Security Program is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, global information security initiatives across EY. This Assistant Director role is designed for a project leader who can connect strategy to execution, bring together cross-functional teams, and drive outcomes that reduce enterprise risk while supporting business value and operational resilience.
The role sits within Information Security and will support the Enterprise Security Programs Asset & Data Protection Services Team. It requires strong leadership without direct authority, clear executive communication, and the ability to coordinate across Information Security, Member Firms, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead complex global information security programs and projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, plans, milestones, risks, budgets and outcomes are actively managed.
- Translate enterprise security objectives into clear execution plans that support business value, measurable benefits and risk reduction.
- Coordinate cross-functional and geographically distributed teams across Information Security, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, Member Firms, vendors and contractors.
- Drive project governance, status reporting, issue escalation and decision-making with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies and RAID items using project management platforms and tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
- Identify risks, issues, interdependencies and resource constraints across programs, busy seasons and organizational priorities, and develop pragmatic mitigation plans.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment by integrating feedback, resolving conflicts and keeping teams focused on shared outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement of security processes, governance practices and delivery methods, including lessons learned and sustainable operating models.
- Mentor and coach project team members, build team engagement, and encourage accountability, collaboration and quality delivery.

To qualify for the role you must have
- Proven experience leading complex global information security, technology or risk-related programs from initiation to closure.
- Solid understanding of information security technologies and operating environments, including cloud, network, endpoint, messaging and data security domains.
- Experience managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and executive reporting for complex initiatives.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, standards and risk management methodologies, including NIST, ISO 27001,
CIS Controls or comparable frameworks.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, including preparing clear status updates, recommendations and escalation materials.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and drive outcomes through influence, structure and accountability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics in business terms.
- Experience identifying interdependencies across other programs, operational timelines, business cycles and organizational priorities.
- Ability to operate in a global, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with project management and delivery platforms such as MS Project, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Experience supporting compliance, privacy or regulatory requirements, including Privacy Impact Assessments and GDPR-related considerations.
- Experience supporting security initiatives that align to business strategy, operational resilience and measurable risk reduction.
- Familiarity with vendor and contractor coordination in support of complex technology or security programs.
