About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Rooftop Solar Manager – Electrical to take end-to-end ownership of rooftop solar projects from project handover to commissioning. The role involves project execution, electrical engineering coordination, client & DISCOM coordination, procurement, team management, quality, safety and project reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Execution: Own rooftop solar projects from planning and site survey through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Planning & Scheduling: Prepare project execution plans, schedules, manpower and material requirements; track milestones and resolve execution bottlenecks.
- Electrical Engineering: Review/coordinate SLD, DC/AC sizing, string sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, ACDB/DCDB, LT/HT systems, earthing, lightning protection, metering and grid interconnection.
- Site Management: Supervise module/MMS installation, DC/AC cabling, inverters, panels, earthing, electrical termination, testing and commissioning.
- Procurement & Materials: Coordinate project-wise material planning, procurement, delivery, technical specifications, material reconciliation and wastage control.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the key execution contact for clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and internal teams; ensure timely closure of observations and punch points.
- DISCOM & Approvals:



Coordinate net/gross metering, inspections, synchronization, DISCOM documentation and CEI/other applicable approvals.
- Testing & Commissioning: Monitor IR, continuity, polarity, earth resistance, protection, AC/DC system checks, metering, synchronization and plant performance testing.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with approved drawings, QA/QC procedures, IS/IEC/CEA requirements, PPE, work-at-height safety, LOTO and Permit-to-Work practices.
- Team Management: Lead Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors; allocate targets, monitor productivity and drive timely project completion.
- MIS & Cost Control: Review progress, material, manpower, billing, project cost, procurement, delays, testing and project completion reports.

Required Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of Rooftop Solar PV / C&I; Solar EPC
- On-grid solar systems, SLD and electrical system design
- PV module & inverter selection, string sizing and DC/AC ratio
- DC/AC cable sizing, ACDB/DCDB, LT/HT systems
- Earthing, lightning protection, metering & grid interconnection
- Solar testing, commissioning and electrical safety
- Knowledge of applicable IS / IEC / CEA standards
- AutoCAD & PVsyst knowledge will be an added advantage
