Job Title: Video Quality Control (QC) Adaptation

Role Overview

The Video QC – Adaptation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the technical and creative accuracy of adapted video assets across multiple markets, languages, and platforms. This role plays a critical part in validating localized video content before final delivery, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines, broadcast standards, and platform specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in post-production workflows, localization processes, and broadcast/digital technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Quality Control

- Perform frame-by-frame QC of adapted video assets.
- Check video and audio sync accuracy.
- Validate aspect ratios, resolution, frame rates, safe areas, and color consistency.
- Ensure correct encoding settings as per platform requirements (TV, OTT, social, digital).
- Identify compression artifacts, glitches, dropped frames, or rendering issues.

2. Adaptation & Localization Review

- Verify correct implementation of subtitles, supers, end cards, disclaimers, and legal text.
- Ensure language accuracy based on provided translation scripts (timing & placement check).
- Validate on-screen text alignment, font consistency, and regional adaptations.
- Confirm proper replacement of graphics, packshots, pricing, or regulatory information.

3. Audio Checks

- Review voiceover sync and pronunciation alignment.
- Ensure correct language tracks are used.
- Check audio levels meet broadcast/platform standards.
- Confirm background music and SFX integration are accurate post-adaptation.

Compliance & Brand Governance

- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
- Validate regulatory disclaimers for respective markets.
- Check mandatory legal supers and duration compliance.
- Ensure market-specific edits are correctly implemented.

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain detailed QC reports with timecodes and issue descriptions.
- Work closely with Editors, Producers, and Localization teams to resolve errors.
- Track version control and final approval status.
- Ensure assets are archived and named as per workflow standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2–5 years of experience in Video QC / Post-production / Localization QC.
- Strong understanding of video formats (MOV, MP4, ProRes, DNxHD).
- Knowledge of broadcast standards and digital platform specifications.
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, or similar tools.
- Experience with subtitle files (SRT, VTT) and adaptation workflows.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines across multiple projects.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working in global production or adaptation hubs.
- Knowledge of OTT platform specs (YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, etc.).
- Understanding of DAM systems and asset management workflows.
- Exposure to multilingual campaigns and regional compliance standards.
