About the Role

We are seeking a Senior/Lead AI Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy Python-based agentic automations that solve straightforward-to-medium complexity business problems. The role is focused primarily on building new AI-powered automations end-to-end, from understanding business requirements and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.

Some solutions will be deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), so hands-on cloud experience is valuable. However, deep GCP expertise is not the primary requirement. We are looking for strong Python engineering, agentic AI solution design, automation, and software development skills.

The engineer will occasionally support the assessment and modernization of existing RPA/UiPath automations by converting them into Python-based agentic solutions. This will be a smaller part of the role, with the primary focus remaining on designing and delivering new AI-driven automations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy Python-based automations and agentic workflows for simple-to-medium complexity business processes.
- Own automation solutions end-to-end, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
- Design and integrate agentic AI capabilities, including LLM-based agents, tool calling, orchestration frameworks, and intelligent decision-making workflows.
- Determine the appropriate level of agentic behavior for each business use case, balancing reliability, complexity, performance, and cost.




- Integrate automations with APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and other business systems.
- Deploy and operate Python-based and agentic applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as required.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and functional tests and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, diagnose technical defects, optimize performance, and stabilize automations prior to transition to support teams.
- Occasionally evaluate existing RPA/UiPath automations and identify opportunities to modernize or convert them into Python-based agentic solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers within the delivery pod.
- Conduct peer code reviews and promote coding standards, reusable components, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
- Represent the technical solution in client discussions, clearly communicating architecture, technical approaches, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Dev Ops Engineers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and business SMEs to understand requirements and deliver against the automation roadmap.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, planning, estimation, prioritization, and iterative delivery.
- Stay current with emerging Agentic AI, LLM, automation, and Python engineering technologies and continuously identify opportunities to improve delivery practices and solution offerings.
