Job Summary
As a Senior Storage Engineer, you will lead the design, operation, and evolution of NetApp IT enterprise storage infrastructure across hybrid on-prem and cloud data centers. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor for critical storage platforms, providing advanced support, guidance, and engineering leadership to ensure our environment remains highly available, scalable,secure, and resilient.
Job Requirements
The Sr Storage Engineer works as part of the NetApp IT Storage Engineering team to provide operational support for our global storage infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:
• Review of the overall environment and inform management of new technologies and/or methods to improve SLAs, performance, and/or availability of our environment.
• Design, deploy, operate, and evolve NetApp platforms including on-prem ONTAP, Amazon FSx, Azure CVO, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, StorageGRID, E-Series, and
supporting tools such as NetApp Console, DII, SnapCenter, and MCPs across global workloads, data centers, and regions.
• Manage enterprise storage services across NAS, SAN, and object storage. Maintain SVMs, aggregates, volumes, LUNs, LIFs, FlexVols, FlexCache, FlexClones, SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapLock, Workload Security, Tamper Proof Snapshots,
Autonomous Ransomware Protection, tenants, buckets, S3 endpoints, and lifecycle policies.
• Support provisioning, migrations, decommissioning, upgrades, lifecycle refreshes, replication, disaster recovery, backup, compliance, retention, data protection, and cost
optimization activities.
Education
- A minimum of 12 years of experience is required.
• A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences, or
related technical field is required; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a large data center with hundreds of petabytes of data.
• Knowledge of NetApp technologies is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
