We're looking for a talented Shared Services Assistant to provide a professional, high-quality and efficient document production service to the firm.
The role
As a Shared Services Assistant, you'll work within our Shared Services team in Nottingham, handling the processing and transcription of audio files, document formatting, PowerPoint/Visio/Design amendments, and contributing to a variety of projects across the firm. The role operates on a shift pattern of either 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm.
What you'll be doing
- Prioritising and processing all work requests, including audio transcription of legal correspondence, documents, recorded hearings, police interviews, and 999 calls to a high standard
- Producing and amending time-critical documents with speed and accuracy, creating and reformatting correspondence in line with the firm's house style, and proof-reading all work for spelling, grammar, formatting, and presentation
- Taking responsibility for correctly saving all work to the document management system (iManage) and using the ServiceMatters platform for matter correspondence and file storage
Person specification
What we're looking for
- Rapid and accurate audio typing (minimum 65 wpm), excellent document formatting skills, and a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Previous experience working in a legal environment,
with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- An effective communicator with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, a collaborative team-player mentality, and a proactive, professional, and flexible approach to work
