About (DDIA)

DDIA is responsible for all the Digital requirements of the IIT Kanpur such as planning, purchasing, executing, support-providing and maintaining all the digital assets and services including the cybersecurity, telephone exchange, Internet Services, etc.

Role Summary

Secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective IT infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and administer email and messaging infrastructure.

2. Maintain and optimize open-source server and application environments.

3. Design, deploy, and manage cloud computing infrastructure and services.

4. Develop, integrate, and maintain software applications and digital platforms.

5. Monitor IT infrastructure, application performance, and service availability.

6. Implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.

7. Promote adoption of open-source technologies and standards.

Detailed Responsibilities

Email and Messaging Infrastructure Management: Deploy and administer opensource email solutions. Configure and manage mail routing, SMTP services, spam filtering, DKIM, SPF, DMARC,



and email security controls. Monitor email delivery systems, archiving, backup, retention, and storage management. Troubleshoot email-related issues including synchronization, authentication, and delivery failures. Ensure high availability, redundancy, and secure communication practices for messaging systems. Implement access control and secure authentication mechanisms with transparent understanding of data privacy for email services.

System Development and Application Support: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise standard applications, portals, and systems. Develop APIs, backend services, automation scripts, and integration solutions.

Support SDLC processes including requirement analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for application deployment and monitoring. Ensure application security, performance optimization, and scalability.

Cloud Computing and Infrastructure Services: Design, deploy, and manage open source private cloud infrastructure.

Implement cloud automation, orchestration, and provisioning solutions. Monitor cloud resource utilization, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.

Desired Qualifications

B.Tech./B.E. with 60% mark with 8 years of relevant experience.

Or

M. Tech./M.E. after B.E./B. Tech with 60% mark with 6 years of relevant experience.
