Role Scope :

In view of current service expansion, our ESL team is seeking to recruit an Executive to join the Trade – Capacity & Transshipment process domain. The role primarily focuses on vessel capacity planning, allocation and utilization, trade-wise capacity and booking monitoring, transshipment control, space management, operational coordination, reporting, and supporting process improvement and automation initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of shipping and trade operations, attention to detail, proactive follow-up, and effective stakeholder management to ensure optimum capacity utilization and timely control of transshipment activities.

The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated professional with strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively in a dynamic and time-sensitive workplace, coupled with strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset, is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Vessel Capacity Planning & Allocation
1. Support vessel capacity planning, allocation, and utilization to ensure optimum use of available vessel space.
2. Monitor vessel capacity against planned allocations and booking demand and highlight capacity gaps or potential constraints.
3. Track capacity utilization and identify opportunities to improve space utilization across trades and services.

Transshipment Control & Stakeholder Coordination
1. Monitor transshipment shipments, vessel connections, schedules, and operational exceptions to support smooth cargo movement.
2. Coordinate with Trade, Operations, and Network teams to align capacity plans, booking demand, vessel schedules, and transshipment requirements.
3.



Proactively follow up on rollovers, missed connections, capacity constraints, and other transshipment-related exceptions.
4. Maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure timely escalation and resolution of operational issues.

Process Improvement & Automation
1. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
2. Analyze repetitive manual activities and recommend opportunities for simplification or automation.
3. Participate in system enhancements, testing, UAT, and implementation activities related to capacity, trade, and transshipment processes.
4. Measure process improvement benefits through reduced manual effort, improved accuracy, faster turnaround time, and better operational control.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Operations, Trade-Capacity, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.

- Relevant experience in shipping, logistics, trade operations, vessel operations, capacity planning, transshipment, or a related operational function is preferred.

- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
