Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President – Strategy & M&A; to join the Corporate Affairs & Strategy function.

The role will work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, evaluate M&A; and investment opportunities, support corporate planning, and lead business transformation and operational excellence initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Strategy, M&A;, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Consulting, or Business Transformation, along with strong financial modelling and valuation skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Corporate Planning

- Support the development and execution of corporate and business strategies.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, industry benchmarking and business intelligence.
- Identify new business and growth opportunities.
- Track strategic initiatives, milestones and business outcomes.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A;)

- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition, investment, partnership and joint venture opportunities.
- Conduct financial, commercial, operational and strategic analysis of potential transactions.
- Coordinate due diligence with internal teams and external advisors.
- Prepare investment memorandums, valuation summaries and transaction-related documents.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiations and deal execution.
- Coordinate post-merger integration and monitor synergy realization.

Financial & Business Analysis

- Analyse financial statements, business models and operating performance.
- Develop financial models, valuation models, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.
- Evaluate transaction risks and identify value creation opportunities.




- Prepare strategic recommendations and presentations for senior leadership.

Strategic Projects & Business Transformation

- Drive cross-functional strategic projects and business transformation initiatives.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Compliance and Business teams.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Management

- Liaise with investors, consultants, investment bankers, legal advisors, auditors and external partners.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to align strategic priorities.

Candidate ProfileRequired Experience

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
- Corporate Strategy
- M&A; / Corporate Development
- Investment Banking
- Corporate Finance
- Management Consulting
- Business Transformation
- Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and transaction analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in any of the following sectors will be an advantage:

Education

- MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute preferred.
- CFA or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
