Position: AGM / DGM – EHS
Function: Environment, Health & Safety

Reporting: Site Head / Corporate EHS Head

Role Purpose

Lead the site EHS function and ensure a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible API manufacturing operation, with strong focus on process safety, statutory compliance, occupational health, fire safety and emergency preparedness .

Key Responsibilities

- Lead overall EHS strategy, systems, objectives and performance for the site.

- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS statutory, environmental and regulatory requirements .

- Drive Process Safety Management , HAZOP/PHA, LOPA, MOC and risk assessments.

- Ensure effective chemical, fire, occupational health and industrial hygiene management.

- Lead incident/near-miss investigation, RCA and CAPA implementation.

- Conduct EHS audits, inspections, safety walks and ensure timely closure of observations.





- Manage emergency preparedness, mock drills and disaster management systems.

- Oversee environmental compliance including ETP, emissions and hazardous waste management .

- Drive contractor safety, PTW, LOTO and safe work practices.

- Lead EHS inputs for projects, expansions, shutdowns and new product/process introduction.

- Build a solid EHS culture through training, awareness and employee engagement.

- Interface with regulatory authorities, auditors and corporate EHS teams.

Qualification & Experience

- Degree in Engineering/Science with Industrial Safety qualification preferred.

- 15–20+ years of EHS experience , preferably in API/Pharma/Chemical manufacturing.

- Strong knowledge of Indian EHS legislation, Process Safety, ISO 14001/45001 and emergency management.
