STARLIMS Technical Lead / DeveloperOur client is seeking 2 experienced STARLIMS Technical Lead / Developer to join a high-performing team supporting critical laboratory informatics systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a STARLIMS specialist to lead development activities, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and drive enhancements across laboratory-focused applications.This role is ideally suited to someone with deep STARLIMS expertise, solid .NET development experience, and a background working within laboratory, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.PLEASE NOTE - Our client needs people who can start soon so if you have a notice period over 30 days please do NOT apply.Position OverviewEmployment Type: ContractHours: Full-timeLength: 6 months with a view to extendWorking Model: On-site (preferred) Hybrid (considered) - Trivandrum or ChennaiStart Date: ASAPKey ResponsibilitiesLead STARLIMS development, configuration, enhancement, and support activities.Design, develop, test, and deploy STARLIMS solutions in line with business requirements.Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and system failures.Drive best practices across application design, development standards,



and deployment processes.Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership across projects.Recommend and implement performance improvements and system optimisations.Collaborate within Agile delivery teams using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.Required ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.10+ years of experience in .NET and Oracle/SQL database application development within multi-tier architectures.Extensive hands-on experience with the STARLIMS platform in laboratory environments.Proven experience across STARLIMS development, workflow configuration, testing, deployment, and requirements analysis.Strong experience with:.NET Framework, .NET CoreWCF and RESTful Web ServicesMicrosoft Visual StudioSQL Server and/or Oracle PL/SQLExperience with source control tools such as Git, TFS, Bitbucket, or similar.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business and technical teams.Desirable ExperienceExperience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.Exposure to Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and laboratory informatics platforms.Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotechnology, or laboratory environments.
