About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Database Administrator (SQL DBA) with solid hands-on expertise in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Approximately 90% of the environment is Microsoft SQL Server, with a significant number of databases running on SQL Server 2012 R2, SQL Server 2014, and other legacy versions.
The immediate priority for this role is to assess the health and stability of the existing database environment, identify risks and performance gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
The DBA will also provide hands-on emergency production support for critical database issues.
This role requires someone who can quickly understand an existing environment, independently diagnose database issues, prioritize risks, and recommend practical remediation or modernization actions.
