Role Summary
The Production Supervisor leads day-to-day operations within the fabrication shop and final packaging area, ensuring safe, effective, high-quality production that meets customer delivery commitments. This role is responsible for supervising shop-floor personnel, coordinating production activities across work centers, managing performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement through Lean and operational-excellence practices.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise fabrication shop and final packaging operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and on-time delivery targets.
Plan, prioritize, and schedule production activities across multiple work centers based on workload, capacity, material availability, and delivery commitments.
Assign daily work to shop employees according to skill level, certifications, workload, and production priorities.
Maintain and regularly update the shop-floor skill matrix; identify training needs and coordinate employee development activities.
Ensure compliance with Flowserve safety policies, safe work practices,



and applicable environmental requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture by conducting regular safety discussions, identifying risks, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure production processes comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements, including adherence to documentation, traceability, inspection, and record-retention procedures.
Monitor and manage key operational KPIs, including utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework, quality performance, and schedule adherence.
Analyze production losses, quality issues, and daily shop-floor constraints; implement corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving tools.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives, including AMEF/FMEA, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/6S, SMED, standard work, visual management, and continuous-improvement activities.
