Job Summary
AIHP is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with solid expertise in commercial fit-out and workplace interior projects. The role will be responsible for BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, rate analysis, project costing, billing, variation management, and cost control across commercial office and managed workspace projects.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in commercial interiors/fit-outs, with a strong understanding of materials, market rates, contractor/vendor quotations, project budgets, and commercial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimates and costing for commercial office and workplace fit-out projects.
Review architectural, interior, civil, electrical, HVAC, plumbing,
and MEP drawings to accurately assess quantities and project requirements.
Prepare rate analysis for materials, labour, subcontractor works, and various fit-out activities.
Obtain, evaluate, and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality and project specifications.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Design, Procurement, Operations, and vendors/contractors for project costing and commercial requirements.
Prepare and evaluate variation orders, extra items, and change requests and assess their financial impact.
Verify contractor measurements, RA bills, invoices, and payment claims against actual site progress and approved BOQs.
