Job Summary
The MDM L1 Support Engineer is responsible for providing first-line technical support for enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms. This role involves assisting users with device enrollment, troubleshooting basic issues, and ensuring strict compliance with organizational mobility and security policies.
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Enrollment: Provide responsive L1 support for MDM platforms (such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or AirWatch) and assist users with mobile device enrollment and configuration.
Troubleshooting & Compliance: Resolve device compliance errors, application deployment failures, and policy-related issues across diverse platforms.
Monitoring & Ticketing:
Monitor MDM dashboards and active alerts; efficiently handle incidents and service requests using ticketing systems such as BMC Helix.
Escalation Management: Diagnose problems thoroughly and escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 support teams when necessary.
Platform & OS Support: Support Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies and perform remote troubleshooting for Android, iOS, and iPadOS devices.
Documentation & Governance: Maintain accurate documentation, contribute to knowledge base articles, and ensure adherence to corporate security and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: Freshers or candidates with at least 6 months of relevant experience in IT support or mobile device management.
Foundational Knowledge: Basic understanding of Mobile Device Management concepts, device enrollment methods, and compliance policies.
Platform Familiarity: Exposure to Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar enterprise MDM solutions.
