Job Purpose: The Mines Manager/Site Head is responsible for overseeing all
aspects of mine operations, including production, safety compliance, resource
management, and statutory approvals. This role ensures effective planning and
execution of mining activities while aligning with environmental and regulatory
standards. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional
teams, including engineering, finance, HR, and external regulatory bodies, to




optimize performance, manage costs, and drive innovation for operational
excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mines Manager or Site Head - Coal Mining

Mine Operations & Production Management:

Oversee daily mining operations, ensuring production targets are met while
maintaining safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, and transportation activities to
optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Implement cost-effective measures to enhance operational performance and stay
within allocated budgets.

Monitor and evaluate mining equipment performance, ensuring timely maintenance
and repairs to prevent delays.

Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline mining
processes.

Pre-Construction Planning & Regulatory Compliance:

Lead pre-construction activities, ensuring all statutory clearances, including
environmental and forest ap
