An Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Laminates and Acrylics is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing distributor networks, and expanding market share within the building materials, interior design, and decorative surfaces sector.
Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager specializes in B2B sales networks for high-pressure laminates (HPL), acrylic sheets, and premium surfaces. This role focuses on driving sales volume through a network of distributors and dealers while influencing key stakeholders like architects, interior designers, and furniture manufacturers (OEMs).
Key Responsibilities
· Dealer & Distributor Management: Identify, appoint, and manage local dealers and distributors to maximize market reach and ensure product availability.
· Influencer Marketing & Specifying: Visit and build strong networks with architects, interior designers, contractors, and carpenters to get products specified in residential and commercial projects.
· B2B & OEM Sales: Pitch and secure volume orders from modular kitchen manufacturers, office furniture OEMs, and wardrobe manufacturers.




· Secondary Sales Generation: Support the distribution network by driving pull-demand from retail counters and fabricators.
· Product Launch & Display: Ensure recent laminate folders (shades catalogs) and acrylic samples are actively displayed at premium retail outlets.
· Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, design trends (e.g., matte finishes, anti-fingerprint surfaces), and distributor credit health.
Qualifications and Skills
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
· Experience: 3 to 6+ years of sales experience specifically in building materials, plywood, MDF, laminates, acrylics..
· Hard Skills: Strong understanding of surface aesthetics, thickness specs, sheet dimensions, and CRM management.
· Soft Skills: Excellent relationship-building, channel management, and aggressive negotiation skills.
