About Papaya
Papaya is building better menstrual healthcare through material science, thoughtful product design and manufacturing. We make our sanitary pads at our own facility in Bengaluru using a proprietary coagulating layer designed to contain menstrual blood differently, without conventional superabsorbent polymers.
We have built the initial product and manufacturing foundation. We are now looking for someone to help build what comes next.

About the role
This is primarily a business-development role, with meaningful ownership of strategic and cross-functional initiatives across the company.
Working closely with the founder, you will help identify and build current opportunities for Papaya, take selected projects from idea to execution, and ensure that commercial ambitions translate into plans the company can realistically deliver.

What you’ll do
Build new opportunities across institutional sales, distribution, partnerships, white-label manufacturing and emerging channels.
Own opportunities from initial conversations through proposals, negotiation, pilots, closure and execution.




Work with the founder on selected strategic initiatives, new markets, business models, fundraising and other company priorities.
Assess new opportunities based on commercial potential, strategic value, margins, working-capital requirements and operational feasibility.
Turn ambiguous ideas and opportunities into clear plans, owners, timelines and next steps.
Coordinate across manufacturing, operations, fulfilment and other teams to ensure commitments are realistic and executed well.
Build systems and processes where needed to bring greater structure to new initiatives.
Maintain visibility across active opportunities and priorities, identifying risks, dependencies and decisions that need to be made.
