Role Description This Cyber Security Engineer internship is a hybrid role based in Trichur, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of security controls for applications, networks, and systems. The intern will support vulnerability assessments, help analyze security incidents, and participate in the documentation of security policies and procedures.
Additional tasks may involve working with senior engineers on security audits, learning to use security tools, and contributing to security awareness initiatives across the organization. This internship offers hands-on training and mentorship to build practical cybersecurity skills in a real-world workplace.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with an understanding of security principles and best practices.
Skills in Application Security and common application vulnerabilities.
Competence in Network Security, including basic knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and network protocols.
Experience or coursework in Vulnerability Assessment, including using tools or methodologies to identify and document security weaknesses.
Pursuing or having completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
