Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Business Development will support the expansion of the company’s retail footprint across South India by identifying high-potential markets, evaluating suitable retail locations, coordinating commercial negotiations, and ensuring timely execution of new store openings.

The role requires strong market understanding, real estate knowledge, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to travel extensively across the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Mapping & Expansion Planning
- Conduct detailed market mapping across South India to identify potential cities, micro-markets, high streets, malls, and emerging retail locations.
- Identify suitable markets based on population profile, purchasing power, competition, catchment, footfall,



and jewellery retail potential.
- Support preparation of city-wise and region-wise retail expansion plans.
- Track upcoming malls, commercial developments, high streets, and retail projects.

2. Site Identification & Evaluation
- Source potential retail properties through landlords, developers, IPCs, brokers, mall management teams, and local market networks.
- Conduct physical site visits and evaluate properties based on:
- Location visibility
- Frontage
- Carpet area
- Footfall
- Catchment profile
- Accessibility and parking
- Competition
- Rental commercials
- Store feasibility
- Prepare comparative site evaluation reports and recommendations for management approval.

3. Commercial Negotiation
- Support negotiations with landlords, developers, m
