macOS Endpoint Security Engineer - SDE2
Role Overview
We're hiring an SDE2 macOS Developer to own endpoint security on macOS for our cybersecurity platform. You'll work directly with the founders, no layers in between, building deep, kernel-aware protection that actually ships and actually matters. If you like getting your hands dirty in macOS internals and want your work to have real impact from day one, this is that role.
What You'll Do
Build and ship macOS endpoint security agents in Objective-C, Swift, and C++.
Work directly with the macOS Endpoint Security Framework for real-time threat detection.
Dig into macOS user space and internals to solve hard problems, not just patch symptoms.
Debug at the kernel level and reverse-engineer kernel-space code when needed.
Bring security fundamentals (encryption, network security, firewalls) into everything you build.
Work closely with product and engineering to turn security requirements into shipped features, fast.
Talk tradeoffs directly with founders. No committees, no red tape.
What We're Looking For
2+ years building on macOS with Objective-C, Swift, and C++.
Real depth in macOS user space and internals, not surface-level familiarity.
Hands-on experience with the macOS Endpoint Security Framework.
Comfortable with kernel-level debugging and reverse engineering kernel-space code.
Understands core security concepts: encryption, network security, firewalls.
Communicates clearly and thinks about the business impact of what you build, not just the code.
Thrives in a small, quick-moving team where you own outcomes, not just tasks.
