Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Architect & Engineer to design and develop the data infrastructure and pipelines supporting a financial reporting system.
This role will work closely with the Director of Finance to understand reporting requirements, translate financial data needs into scalable data solutions, and establish reliable data models and pipelines.
The ideal candidate must have robust hands-on Snowflake experience and be capable of independently guiding decisions related to data architecture, infrastructure design, data modelling, transformation, and pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for financial reporting and analytics.
Provide guidance on Snowflake infrastructure, architecture, performance, and cost optimisation.
Design and implement data models that support accurate and efficient financial reporting.
Build and manage data ingestion workflows using Fivetran or similar data extraction tools.




Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt or a comparable transformation framework.
Integrate data from financial, operational, and third-party systems into Snowflake.
Work directly with the Finance team to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
Establish data quality checks, validation processes, monitoring, and reconciliation controls.
Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
Document data architecture, models, pipelines, dependencies, and operating procedures.

Required (must-have) Skills and Experience
Strong hands-on 8+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions using Snowflake.
Demonstrated experience with Snowflake architecture, schemas, warehouses, security, performance tuning, and cost management.
Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, relational modelling, and data warehouse design principles.
Experience building production-grade ETL or ELT pipelines.
