The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for driving project sales across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh by identifying and developing project opportunities at the earliest stages of the construction lifecycle. The primary objective of the role is to proactively identify upcoming projects during the concept, planning, and design phases, enabling Promat to influence specifications, engage key stakeholders, and maximize conversion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and qualify upcoming construction and industrial projects at the concept, planning, design, and tender stages across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh
- Focus on revenue-generating opportunities in data centres, healthcare, manufacturing, and key commercial projects, along with other priority sectors
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of early-stage projects that can be influenced before product specifications are finalized
- Develop opportunities for Promat’s Passive Fire Protection portfolio, including:
Structural Steel Fire protection
Firestopping
Compartmentation
HVAC
Doors and other OEMs
- Achieve assigned Sales and business development targets for the territory
- Conduct regular field visits and meet multiple customers every day, including end customers, architects, contractors, consultants, and applicators, to identify and develop new opportunities
- Build robust relationships with key project stakeholders and position Promat as the preferred PFP partner from the early stages of project development
- Prepare technical presentations, product demonstrations, quotations, and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal teams
- Track projects throughout the entire lifecycle – from concept and design through tendering, execution, and order closure – to maximize business conversion
- Share detailed and timely project intelligence with the Specifications Manager to facilitate specification activities and generate additional qualified leads
