Purpose - Why does this role exist?
To support in-house design/engineering activities for Pumped Storage Projects
(Bhavali-1500 MW & Kandhaura-1680 MW) at JSW Energy by coordinating with
consultants, reviewing design deliverables, ensuring timely issue of drawings/reports,
and contributing to design optimization, quantity validation and technical closure
from the Delhi/NCR office.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)
Design Management & Engineering Review
· Review and coordinate detailed engineering deliverables for Hydro and Pumped Storage
Projects.
· Ensure timely review and closure of design submissions from consultants.
· Verify compliance with applicable engineering standards, project specifications, and
statutory requirements.
· Issue approved engineering drawings and technical reports within committed timelines.
Civil & Hydraulic Design Review
Review and coordinate design packages related to:
· Dams (Concrete, RCC, Rockfill and Earthen Dams)
· Reservoir and Rim Stability Works
· Spillways and Energy Dissipation Structures
· Intake Structures and Outlet Works
· Water Conveyance Systems (Head Race Tunnel, Tail Race Tunnel, Pressure Shafts,
Penstocks)
· Surge Shafts and Underground Caverns
· Powerhouse and Transformer Caverns
· Balance of Plant Civil Structures
· Roads, Bridges and Associated Infrastructure works
Design Optimization & Value Engineering · Identify opportunities for cost optimization and enhanced constructability. · Evaluate alternative design solutions to improve technical and commercial outcomes. · Support value engineering initiatives during project development and execution stages. · Prepare technical comparisons and recommendations for management approvals. Interdisciplinary Coordination · Coordinate with Civil, Hydro-Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical and Geological teams. ·
