Job Description We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and help build and scale the backend systems powering Botern.
The role will primarily involve working with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, microservices, cloud integrations, and AI-assisted workflows . Familiarity with React is preferred to enable smooth collaboration across the product stack.
Key Responsibilities · Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js .
· Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
· Build and maintain containerized services using Docker .
· Develop backend systems supporting web applications built with React .
· Integrate AI-assisted workflows and external AI APIs into product features.
· Build integrations with cloud services, storage systems, and third-party APIs.
· Develop background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and data-processing services.
· Optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
· Collaborate with frontend and mobile developers to deliver features from development to production.
· Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
· Robust experience with Node.js .
· Good knowledge of PostgreSQL , including database design, queries, and performance optimization.
· Experience designing and building RESTful APIs .
· Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
· Familiarity with React and modern frontend-backend integration.
· Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure .
