Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

The Deputy Manager - Maintenance (Tractor) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and directing all maintenance activities related to the tractor transmission line at Mahindra Tractors Zaheerabad. This position involves ensuring optimal plant uptime by managing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities while adhering to safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability on the transmission line.
- Leading a team of maintenance engineers and technicians to ensure efficient and timely execution of all maintenance tasks.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes, leveraging lean manufacturing principles and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices.
- Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and drive corrective actions.




- Managing spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets to optimise costs without compromising equipment availability.
- Driving digitisation efforts within maintenance operations, such as implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and predictive maintenance technologies based on data analytics.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory safety and environmental regulations and promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Supporting the development and training of maintenance personnel to enhance technical skills and career progression.
- Working closely with external vendors, contractors, and union representatives to maintain healthy work relationships and seamless operations.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment uptime, maintenance cost, and safety incidents, and driving continuous improvements accordingly.
