System Software Engineer - Linux Kernel
The Role
AMD is seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer to join our Networking, RDMA, Storage, and AI Infrastructure Software team. In this role, you will design and develop high-performance software technologies that power up-to-date AI training clusters, cloud infrastructure, storage platforms, and next-generation data centers.
You will work closely with hardware architects, firmware teams, silicon designers,
and open-source communities to deliver innovative solutions across the Linux networking, RDMA, and storage software stack. As a key member of the team, you will influence the architecture and implementation of technologies that enable scalable AI and distributed computing workloads on AMD platforms.
The Person
The ideal candidate is passionate about systems software and enjoys solving complex technical challenges across hardware and software boundaries. You possess strong software engineering fundamentals, deep expertise in Linux operating systems, networking, RDMA, storage technologies, and distributed computing platforms, and a proven ability to drive features from concept through deployment.
You are comfortable working across multiple layers of the software stack, collaborating with architects and global engineering teams, and providing technical leadership to drive execution and innovation.
