Role: Mainframe Application Developer

Experience Required: 6–8 Years

Technology Stack: Mainframe | COBOL | JCL | DB2 | IBM z/OS

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe application development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Enterprise COBOL, JCL, and DB2 application development and should be capable of designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical mainframe applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL applications on IBM Mainframe (z/OS).

Develop, modify, and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing.

Perform application development and maintenance using Mainframe DB2.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.

Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Support production environments, including incident analysis and defect resolution.

Optimize application performance and improve system efficiency.

Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and technical teams for successful delivery.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
