Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and help build and scale the backend systems powering Botern.
The role will primarily involve working with Node.js, Postgre SQL, Docker, microservices, cloud integrations, and AI-assisted workflows. Familiarity with React is preferred to enable smooth collaboration across the product stack.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js. Design and build scalable REST APIs and microservices. Design, manage, and optimize Postgre SQL databases. Build and maintain containerized services using Docker. Develop backend systems supporting web applications built with React.



Integrate AI-assisted workflows and external AI APIs into product features. Build integrations with cloud services, storage systems, and third-party APIs. Develop background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and data-processing services. Optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability. Implement secure authentication, authorization, and access-control systems. Deploy, monitor, debug, and maintain production services. Collaborate with frontend and mobile developers to deliver features from development to production. Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, modular, and scalable architecture. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong experience with Node.js.
