About the Role

We are looking for a Vendor Growth Executive to join our early-stage team and take ownership of vendor acquisition and onboarding.

This is a hands-on, field-oriented role where you will work directly with businesses across Chennai — identifying prospects, pitching Sheplates, following up, closing partnerships, onboarding vendors and building strong relationships.

As Sheplates grows, this role offers a clear growth path into a Vendor Growth Manager position, with the opportunity to eventually build and lead the Vendor Growth team.

What You'll Do
- Identify and generate vendor leads through calls, WhatsApp, field visits and local networking.
- Pitch Sheplates to prospective vendors and convert them into partners.
- Follow up consistently,



negotiate and close vendor partnerships.
- Own the complete vendor onboarding process.
- Ensure newly onboarded vendors are activated and ready to receive orders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Monitor vendor activity and identify opportunities to improve engagement and order volumes.
- Maintain the sales pipeline and achieve weekly and monthly acquisition targets.
- Build a strong vendor network within assigned territories.
- Share vendor feedback, market insights and acquisition challenges with the team.

What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, field sales, merchant/vendor acquisition or marketplace sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills.
- Comfortable with calling, follow-ups and field visits.
- Target-driven with strong ownership and execution skills.
- Positive relationship-building abilities.
