Position: Design Engineer – Sheet Metal
Location: Rajpura, Punjab / Chandigarh
Location Advantage: Rajpura Approximately 40–50 km / around 1 hour drive from Chandigarh
Experience: 1–4 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
CTC: 3–5 LPA, based on experience and technical expertise

About the Role

We are looking for a Design Engineer with 1–4 years of hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design and Development.

Sheet Metal Design experience is compulsory for this position. Candidates must also have knowledge/exposure to the Lithium Industry. Candidates having experience in Lithium Batteries, Lithium Inverter Batteries, Lithium Battery Enclosures, or Lithium Inverter Battery Sheet Metal Production will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop sheet metal components, enclosures, panels, brackets, and assemblies as per product requirements.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, manufacturing drawings, and detailed specifications.
- Ensure designs are suitable for cutting, punching, bending, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams for design feasibility and implementation.
- Modify and optimize existing designs based on production requirements and feedback.
- Coordinate with vendors for prototype development and component manufacturing.




- Identify and resolve design-related issues during production.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, drawings, design documentation, and revision records.
- Ensure designs meet required quality, dimensional, functional, and manufacturing standards.

Mandatory Requirements

- 1–4 years of relevant experience in Sheet Metal Design.
- Sheet Metal Design experience is compulsory.
- Knowledge/exposure to the Lithium Industry is compulsory.
- Candidates with experience in Lithium Battery / Lithium Inverter Battery manufacturing will be preferred.
- Experience in Lithium Battery Enclosure Design / Sheet Metal Production will be an added advantage.
- Practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and production processes is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of Sheet Metal Design and Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of bending, punching, cutting, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings.
- Valuable understanding of dimensions, tolerances, BOM, and design documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with production and cross-functional teams.
