Role & responsibilities
- Objective
- To conduct supplier quality surveys, audits, and inspections, ensuring vendor products and services meet project specifications, international standards, and client expectations.
- Responsibilities
- • Conduct supplier audits and vendor inspections at manufacturing and fabrication facilities.
- • Verify material certificates, manufacturing processes, calibration records, and test reports.
- • Monitor supplier compliance with inspection test plans (ITPs), quality assurance plans (QAPs), and contractual requirements.
- • Inspect equipment/components (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) prior to packing and dispatch.
- • Document and report supplier quality performance with detailed inspection reports and NCRs.
- • Identify supplier quality gaps, deviations, and risks; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- • Collaborate with procurement and expediting teams to align on timelines and ensure timely delivery.
- • Support client representatives during vendor inspections, audits, and acceptance reviews.
- • Maintain supplier inspection records and ensure traceability of quality documentation.
- • Provide feedback for supplier evaluation, approval, and continuous performance improvement.
- • Escalate recurring vendor issues and propose preventive measures to strengthen supply chain quality.
- Skill Set
- • Knowledge of supplier quality assurance processes.
- • Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, IEC, and ISO standards.
- • Solid documentation and vendor audit skills.
- • Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and data sheets.
- • Proficiency in ERP/supplier management systems.
- Experience
- • 510years in supplier quality assurance or third-party inspection.
- • Experience in EPC, TIC, or vendor management environments.
