Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor VMC machines in the toolroom.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Prepare tooling, fixtures, and raw materials for machining operations.
- Load and set cutting tools, offsets, and fixtures on VMC machine.
- Ensure first-piece approval and in-process inspection as per quality standards.
- Perform precision machining of toolroom components, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Monitor machine performance, cutting parameters, and tool wear.
- Handle program loading, minor editing, and corrections on the machine.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per requirements.
- Record job details, maintain production log, and follow job card instructions.
- Ensure proper care, cleaning, and basic maintenance of VMC machine.
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized toolroom.
- Coordinate with engineers/designers for job clarifications.
- Support in continuous improvement and productivity enhancement activities.
- ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Tool & Die, Production, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in VMC machine operation (preferably toolroom background).
- Knowledge of CNC programming basics (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas controls preferred).
- Hands-on experience in using precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of toolroom practices, cutting speeds, and feeds.
- Robust sense of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
