- Plan, organize, and monitor daily polishing operations to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, consumables, and other resources.
- Review production schedules and ensure timely execution as per customer requirements.
- Minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the polishing process.
- Monitor defect levels and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Quality teams to address customer complaints and quality concerns.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce rework and rejection rates.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for productivity enhancement and cost reduction.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies.
- Standardize processes and develop SOPs for polishing operations.
- Monitor KPIs and initiate improvement projects.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop production supervisors, engineers, and shop floor personnel.
- Conduct performance reviews and skill development programs.
- Ensure workforce discipline, engagement, and motivation.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all EHS (Workplace, Health & Safety) regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
- Drive zero-accident and safe-working initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
Cost & Budget Management
- Monitor operational costs related to polishing activities.
- Control consumption of polishing materials, tools, and utilities.
- Support annual budgeting and cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyze production losses and implement corrective measures.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, SCM, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Prepare and present production reports, MIS, and performance dashboards.
- Participate in management reviews and strategic planning discussions.
