Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure main gate and campus entry/exit points
- Maintain visitor entry register and ensure proper verification of visitors
- Allow entry only after permission and follow security protocols
- Monitor movement of vehicles and ensure parking discipline
- Conduct regular patrolling of hostel, school premises, parking areas, and campus boundaries
- Report suspicious activities or unauthorized entry immediately to management
- Coordinate with CCTV observer and security team for monitoring and incident handling
- Ensure safety of students during school hours and hostel timings
- Support management during events, parent meetings, and school functions
- Handle emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fire safety, or student safety incidents
- Ensure proper discipline is maintained within campus premises
- Assist in maintaining safety of school property and prevent theft/damage
- Maintain daily security reports and shift handover updates
- Ensure all security equipment (gate, locks, alarms, CCTV coordination) is functioning properly
Requirements:
- Minimum 10th pass (12th preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience as Security Guard / Watchman
- Physically fit and capable of standing duty for long hours
- Strong discipline and responsibility handling skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain strict security protocols
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (day/night)
- Good communication skills (Kannada/Hindi/English preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in school/hostel/residential campus security
- Ex-servicemen will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of visitor management and record keeping
- Ability to handle crowd control during school events
- Basic knowledge of emergency response and safety procedures
