About Us

The Machan is an award-winning eco-luxury resort located in a private forest in Lonavala, offering unique tree-house accommodations and nature-based experiences. We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory and support smooth operations at the property.

Job Summary

The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, controlling, and issuing inventory required for daily resort operations. This includes food supplies, housekeeping materials, engineering items, and operational consumables. The role ensures accurate stock records, proper storage standards, and adherence to company procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Receiving & Verification
- Receive and inspect all goods delivered to the property.
- Verify items against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Check quantity, quality, expiry dates, and damage before accepting goods.
- Record all receipts in the GRN / inventory system.




- Coordinate with vendors for discrepancies, credit notes, or replacements.

Inventory Storage & Organization
- Maintain stores in a clean, organized, and secure condition.
- Ensure proper storage for dry goods, refrigerated items, housekeeping supplies, and engineering materials.
- Follow FIFO / FEFO inventory practices.
- Ensure all shelves and racks are properly labeled.

Issuing Materials
- Issue items only against approved departmental requisitions.
- Maintain accurate records of all material issues in the system.
- Coordinate with Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments for operational requirements.

Stock Control & Monitoring
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder requirements.
- Assist in procurement by obtaining quotations and preparing comparisons when required.

Inventory Audits
- Conduct regular stock checks and support monthly inventory audits.
