We are looking for a motivated and meticulous Junior Interior CAD Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming initial design sketches and concepts into exact 2D technical drawings and 3D models. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in high-end interior projects, ranging from residential to commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Documentation: Create detailed 2D floor plans, elevations, sections, and RCPs (Reflected Ceiling Plans) using AutoCAD.
- Technical Details: Develop detailed joinery drawings, furniture layouts, and electrical/plumbing points under the guidance of senior designers.
- 3D Modeling: Assist in creating basic 3D visualizations and renderings to help clients visualize the space.
- Site Coordination: Assist in conducting site measurements and converting field notes into accurate digital drawings.
- Material Selection:
Support the team in preparing material boards and schedules (specifications for finishes, hardware, and fixtures).
- Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, project managers, and vendors to ensure drawings meet project specifications and timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert: AutoCAD (2D).
- Proficient: SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Revit.
- Supporting: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) and MS Office.
- Drafting Standards: Basic understanding of architectural symbols, scaling, and standard interior dimensions.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and a "hunger" to learn complex construction details.
