Job Summary

The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning and conducting physical education classes, promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles, and developing students’ physical skills, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The teacher will organize sports activities, maintain safety standards, and encourage student participation in indoor and outdoor games.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for students as per the school curriculum.
- Teach physical fitness, sports skills, exercises, yoga, and recreational activities.
- Assess students’ physical abilities and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, discipline, and leadership through sports.
- Adapt activities to suit different age groups and skill levels.

Sports & Activities
- Organize inter-house competitions, annual sports events, and tournaments.
- Train and prepare students for inter-school sports competitions.
- Identify talented students and support their athletic development.
- Coordinate morning exercises, assemblies,



and fitness programs when required.

Student Safety & Discipline
- Ensure student safety during all physical activities and sports events.
- Maintain discipline and supervise students during classes and practice sessions.
- Provide first-level support in case of minor sports injuries.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and sports inventory.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of sports equipment and playgrounds.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leadership for school events and activities.
- Communicate student progress and participation with parents when needed.
