Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare CNC / VMC programs based on engineering drawings and customer requirements.
- Study component drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and machining requirements before programming.
- Create machining process plans for production.
- Select suitable cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Develop and optimize programs for productivity improvement and cycle time reduction.
- Perform program prove-out and first piece approval on machine.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tooling teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards during machining.
- Monitor tool life and suggest improvements to reduce tooling cost.
- Ensure proper machine utilization and minimize machine downtime.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards in the work area.
- Support recent product development and trial activities.
- Train machine operators on program handling and machining methods when required.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge in CNC Turning / VMC Machining.
- Experience in programming using Fanuc
- Understanding of G-code & M-code programming.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam
- Ability to read engineering drawings and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / BE Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Tool & Die.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in CNC / VMC programming and machining operations.
